Portland Music and Arts

Been a few since I posted to the empty void.

Changed some art around, and closed up some loose ends lately. I finished the Rondeau Records CD cover and other design work. Turned out good, they were satisfied and I made a little cash. Turns it I could make money, but it takes away a little bit of my freedom. I have found I don't have enough time for all I want to do so I'm cuttin back the art to just painting. That may not stick but I'm going with it for now.
I moved the Jimi, Dylan and Zappa over to this killer restaurant bar called "the East Burn." It's on 18 and E Burnside and it's unbelievable. You can go there to have an nice upscale meal, or party it up in their downstairs bar that has skee ball and electric race track cars. Great place.
Also, I met with this lady who runs art shows and the kingstad center in beaverton about a month ago. Had a little consultation and turns out she really liked the Color of Music Series and her next show is called something like Iconography. I already will have Jimi, Dylan and Zappa in that show and as it turns out I have 3 more nearly done. Stay tunes to see new pictures....
First Name Michael, the band I'm playing with currently, has some shows coming up end of Feb and a few in March. We are coming along consistently every week getting better, it's a fun experience. I get to write my guitar parts, with very few constraints, and just play what I think will better the song. Not to mention, the Singer/Songwriter is a good writer and sings great, bass player is killer and have local drum extrodenaire Scott Appleman on the drums. I couldn't have asked for a better group to be thrown into.
On to another monday....
